The Senior Management is responsible for efficient and effective running of kasneb
Prof. Letting’ is the Secretary/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examination Board (Kasneb) and the immediate past Vice – Chancellor / Chief Executive Officer of the Management University of Africa (MUA). He represents the Examinations Board at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) Council. He is a convener of the Research and Development Committee and the Nomination Committee of ICPAK.
He is a Fellow of ICPAK, ICS and KIM. He is a member in good standing of ICIFA, the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and the Institute of Directors (IoD). He is an accomplished corporate transformative leader with over 24 years of work experience, a respected academic and industry captain and performance management excellence enthusiast. He is a careers mentor and coach, examination management expert, committed professional, facilitator in conferences, corporate governance trainer accredited by IFC, an astute administrator and investments and financial analyst. He is well trained in strategic leadership and a thought leader.
Prof. Letting’ worked with the British American Tobacco (BAT) Kenya, the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and MUA in senior positions before joining Kasneb. He has taught in high school and universities, has published widely and supervised several doctoral (PhD) and masters’ students in their theses’ projects. He is an external examiner in leading universities in East Africa. He has attended several global seminars and conferences in four continents.
Prof. Letting’ has been an active contributor of ideas in education and training sector at the university and technical training institutions sub-sectors and occasionally presents emerging issues on academic and corporate governance on TV.
He currently serves as a Council Member of the Institute, the Institute of Certified Investments and Financial Analysts (ICIFA), the Institute of Certified Secretaires (ICS), Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (PSASB) and currently the Honorary Treasurer for the Association of Professional Societies of East Africa (APSEA).
Prof. Letting’ holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration (Strategic Management), MBA and BCom degrees from the University of Nairobi. In addition, he holds Final Certificates from kasneb in the following professional qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Public Secretary (CPS) and Certified Investments and Financial Analyst (CIFA)
He was awarded Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (EBS) in 2020 and Head of State of Commendation (HSC) in 2012 for his contribution in the education sector and to the development of the country in Kenya.
He has previously been a Council Member and Chairman of ICPSK, member of Council of Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) and member of the Board of the National Commission for Science Technology and Innovations. (NACOSTI).
FCPA Isaac M. Njuguna is the Examinations Director at kasneb, a position he has held since 2014. FCPA Njuguna also serves on the International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB) of IFAC as a Board member representing Kenya and the East Africa region. In addition, CPA Njuguna serves on the Technical committee of the East Africa Community Institutes of Accountants (EACIA). Previously, he served as a member of the Registration and Quality Assurance Committee and the Training and Development Committee of ICPAK for which he was awarded a commendation. FCPA Njuguna is also a member of the Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (ICIFA) and the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).
FCPA Njuguna has wide exposure on global practices in professional accounting education and practice gained through his service at the IAESB in addition to benchmarking and peer review visits to institutes within the East Africa region, South Africa, United Kingdom, USA, Australia, Indonesia, Mexico among others.
FCPA Njuguna holds a Masters degree in Finance from the University of Nairobi in addition to a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting option) degree from the same university. He is also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and is currently pursuing his PhD at Kenyatta University.
Caroline has over 15 years’ strategic management experience having served in different senior strategic management, corporate planning, governance and consulting positions in Swaziland, Australia and Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Moi University and Master of Business Administration from Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia.
Caroline is a Chartered Secretary/governance professional and member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). She holds a post-graduate diploma in marketing and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), a diploma in quality management and is a practitioner member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI). She also holds a Post-graduate diploma in Project Planning and Management from Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
CPA Jason has over fifteen years experience in audit and assurance gained from both the private and the public sectors. Currently he is the Head of Internal Auditand Risk at kasneb and previously held a similar position at Women Enterprise Fund. He also served as the Country Head of Audit and Control at United Bank for Africa where he played a key role in the set up of the Bank in the country .
He holds a Masters Degree in Strategic Management from IOTA-Australia and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting Option) from Kenyatta University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor and Certified Professional in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) He is an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA) where he served as a member of the Audit Committee.

Full member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) and ISO 9001:2015 QMS Trained Lead Auditor with over 12 years in managing Supply Chain Management functions in both the Public and Private Sector. In addition he has experience in Quality Management Systems, Performance Contracting, Knowledge Management, Examinations Administration and Management including Co-authoring and Peer Review of International Academic Journals.
Ms Marylucy A. Ajwang’ was appointed the Human Capital and Administration Director on 4 January 2016. She is a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Administration and Commerce and a Masters’ degree in Human Resource Management. She is also a holder of a Diploma in Human Resource Management.
The key responsibilities are planning, coordinating and implementing human capital and administration policies and strategies aligned to the strategic plan of kasneb and advising the Chief Executive Officer on human capital and administration matters.
Hamida A. Mwilu is the Head of Marketing and Communication at kasneb and is in charge of driving kasneb’s Customer Experience, Brand management, Marketing and Communication. She is a transformational leader, brilliant in building first-class marketing and has a reputation as an “out-of-the-box” innovator with a customer-centric focus. She is a chartered and highly ambitious Marketing, PR, and Communications Professional, with a key eye for new market share. She offers a unique blend of leadership, vision, and knowledge of strategic planning, project management, and business development.
Ms Hamida’s key competencies are in; Marketing, Corporate Communication, Stakeholder Management, Brand Management, Project Management, Strategic Management, Change Management, Customer Relationship Management, and People Management.
Ms Hamida joined kasneb in August 2013, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Management from Edith Cowan University. She also holds a Professional Diploma in Marketing (HL) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). She also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration – MBA, Strategic Management from Kenyatta University.
Hamida is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK) and the Institute of Customer Experience (ICX) Kenya,
CPA Sailot Keke has over 15 years’ experience in Finance and Auditing both in Public and private sector service.
She currently serves as the Deputy Director Finance having previous served as Manager Internal Audit for over 7 years in kasneb. Before joining kasneb, she served as the Information systems auditor with IEBC and previously as a Regional Auditor with NGCDF Board.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Accounting Option and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance. She is a holder of the CPA, CISA and CS qualifications. She is an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Information and Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) where she has actively participated as a member of the Audit Committee and served as a chair. She is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Association of Women Accountants in Kenya (AWAK) where she is a member of the Training and Development Committee and served previously in the Audit Committee.
CS Joyce M. Afanda is the Ag. Corporation Secretary and Deputy Director, Legal Services at KASNEB where she also doubles up as the Data Protection Officer. She is a Commissioner for Oaths, an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Governance, Ethics, Risk and Compliance Expert. She is also a Certified Public Secretary and Certified Public Accountant.
CS Joyce holds a Masters of Laws (LLM) degree in International Trade Law (Distinction) from the University of Aberdeen and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management from Kenyatta University, in addition she also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of Nairobi and a post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
As a trained mediator and negotiator, CS Joyce firmly believes in alternative dispute resolution as opposed to the use of litigation. She is also passionate about Governance and Compliance.
The key responsibilities are management of Board and Committee meetings, Advising on all Legal and Compliance matters, contract negotiation and management. Data Protection and governance audit and related issues
CPA Jacinta Moraa currently serves as the Manager at KASNEB Foundation. She is responsible for the day to day operations of the Foundation including but not limited to: Implementing the loans and bursaries programme needy students undertaking kasneb qualifications; Mentorship and coaching for beneficiaries; resource mobilization; Corporate Social Investment programmes, strategic planning, and establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships.
Before joining KASNEB Foundation, Jacinta served as the Finance and Accounts Officer at the National Council for Law Reporting (NCLR) for 10 Years and as an Accountant and Credit Officer at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
She holds a MBA(Project Management), BCOM (Finance and Banking). She is a CPA-K and a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants -Kenya (ICPAK) and Association of Women Accountants in Kenya (AWAK). Jacinta is a Trained ISO 9001-2015 Implementation Champion, a former NCLR Pension Scheme Trustee and a certified Trainer of Trainees.
CPA Erasto Mukuria Ng’ang’a is the Acting Director, Curriculum Research and Development. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.CoM) degree (Accounting and Finance Double Major, First Class Honours) and a Master of Commerce (M.CoM) degree in Forensic Accounting (Distinction) both from Strathmore University. In addition, he holds a Diploma in Technical Education (Accounting and Mathematics Major) from the Kenya Technical Teachers College (KTTC) recently renamed the Kenya School of TVET (KSTVET). CPA Ng’ang’a has also undertaken the Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) offered by the Kenya School of Government (KSG).
He is a Certified Public Accountant CPA (K) and is a member, in good standing, of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He is also a member, in good standing, of the Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (ICIFA). He has previously served in various ICPAK committees, task forces and working groups including the Students Advisory and Library Committee, the Education Committee and the Task Force on the Implementation of Practical Experience Requirements for Trainee Accountants.
He is currently a member of ICPAK’s Registration and Quality Assurance Committee (RQAC) where he has served since 1 July 2021. He is also a member of the Kenya Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (KCATs) Standards and Guidelines Technical Committee.
He has undertaken many short courses in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Communication, Governance, Strategic Management, Innovation as well as Transformational Leadership. He boasts of vast experience in the areas of training, development of test instruments as well as curriculum research and development in Accounting, Finance and related disciplines.
